Products and variants

Products live under Products in the admin panel. There is no limit on products or categories on any hosting plan.

Creating a product#

A product needs a name and a price; everything else can follow later. The product form holds:

• Description, formatted text with images.
• Images: a gallery you can reorder by drag and drop, plus an optional product video (a file or a YouTube/Vimeo embed).
• Categories: a product can sit in several categories at once.
• Brand: brands have their own pages and filter.
• Price, compare-at price and tax class.
• Stock, SKU and barcode: see Inventory.
• SEO fields: page title, description and the URL slug.
• Related products: upsell and cross-sell links shown on the product page and in the cart.

Variants#

When a product comes in colors, sizes or materials, define the options and the combinations are generated for you. Each variant has its own price, stock, SKU, barcode, image and discount. The storefront shows only variants that are in stock unless you allow backorders.

Visibility#

A product is draft until you publish it. You can also take a product off sale automatically when its stock reaches zero (see Inventory).

Badges#

"New", "On sale" and "Low stock" badges can be automatic or manual. A low-stock badge is shown only from the real stock figure; the platform does not invent scarcity.

Reviews and questions#

Product reviews with photos, replies and moderation are part of the Reviews module, which is included with every store and switched on from the App Market screen. After an order is completed, the customer is invited to review automatically.
