After going live

What is switched on for you the moment your domain is active: search engine access, sitemap, redirects and the free-period timer.

The last step of the wizard runs a few tasks on your behalf. Knowing what they are helps you check that everything is in place.

Search engines

The noindex lock of the test store is lifted for your domain automatically. The robots file of a live store allows crawling, keeps cart, checkout, account and search pages out, and points to your sitemap. You do not need to press anything to "enable indexing".

Well-known AI crawlers are allowed by default. You can switch that per store in the SEO settings if you prefer.

Sitemap and redirects

The sitemap is regenerated with your domain and submitted, and the test address redirects to it permanently. If you moved from another platform, upload your old URL list to the 301 redirect panel now so old links keep working.

The free period

Hosting is free for the first month after the domain becomes active (30 days by default). The billing screen shows the end date and your actual resource use as it accumulates. Read The first free month.

What to check

  • Open https://yourstore.com and https://www.yourstore.com; one should redirect to the other.
  • Place a small live order with a real card and refund it.
  • Send yourself a password reset from the storefront to see the email sender.
  • If you use your own email domain, confirm its status under Settings, then Email sending.
