DNS troubleshooting
What each message of the go-live wizard means and how to fix it, including CAA records that block the certificate.
На этой странице
Every message in the wizard names the cause and the next step. Whatever the message, try again now restarts the check from the beginning once you have corrected the records.
Your DNS records have not propagated yet
We cannot see the new records yet, or your provider still returns the old values. This is normal and takes anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours depending on the provider and the TTL of the old records. We keep checking and let you know when they are visible.
If nothing changes after a day, open the DNS page at your provider and compare the records with the wizard's table character by character: the most common mistakes are a record added to the wrong domain, a value with a trailing dot missing where the provider requires it, or an old A record left in place next to the new CNAME.
Your domain points somewhere else
A CNAME or A record exists but it does not point to connect.kambloo.com (or to our IP addresses). The message shows the value we found. Correct the record; you do not need to wait afterwards, press try again now.
CAA records
Your domain has a CAA record that does not allow the certificate authorities we use. Add these two records at your DNS provider (or remove the existing CAA records):
CAA 0 issue "letsencrypt.org"
CAA 0 issue "pki.goog"
Then press try again now. A CAA record on the root domain also applies to www unless www has its own.
SSL validation could not be completed
The certificate check timed out. Usually the DNS records were changed or removed after verification, or a TXT validation value was entered with a typo. Check that the records are still in place and press try again now. If it fails again, write to us from the contact page; this is normally solved within minutes.
This domain is connected to another store
The domain is already in use by another Kambloo store. If you own it, contact us so we can verify ownership and move it.
A temporary problem on our side
Something failed between us and our infrastructure provider. Our team is alerted automatically and the step is retried within minutes; you do not need to do anything.
Checking records yourself
Any public DNS lookup tool can show what the world currently sees for your domain. Look up the CNAME of yourstore.com and www.yourstore.com; both should answer connect.kambloo.com. If your provider only allowed A records on the root, those should show the IP addresses the wizard gave you.
