Help Center Billing and plans

The first free month

Hosting is free for one month after you go live. What you see during that time, what happens at the end, and the grace steps if you do not choose a plan.

When the period starts

The free period begins the moment your own domain becomes active in the go-live wizard. It lasts 30 days by default. The test store before that is free with no time limit and does not count.

During the period

  • The store runs on your domain with live payments.
  • The billing screen shows the end date and your actual resource use as it accumulates: traffic, storage, media bandwidth.
  • App Market subscriptions you bought are still charged; the free month covers the software and the hosting, not modules.

Choosing a plan

You can choose a plan at any time during the period; it starts billing when the free period ends, not earlier. 14, 7 and 1 day before the end you receive an email and a banner in the panel with a plan recommendation based on the resources you really used. See Choosing a plan.

If no plan is chosen

Nothing is deleted and nothing is switched off abruptly. The restrictions arrive in steps:

When What happens
Free period ends Reminders become more frequent; the banner can no longer be dismissed
7 days later The admin panel becomes read-only: you can view orders but not change anything. The storefront keeps selling
7 more days The storefront shows a maintenance page (HTTP 503) and the store is suspended
90 days of suspension The store enters the 30-day deletion window described in Cancelling and deleting a store

Choosing a plan at any point lifts every restriction immediately; your data is untouched throughout.
