Do I need my own domain?
Only to go live. A test store works fully on yourstore.kambloo.com with sandbox payments. Live payments and search engine visibility require your own domain.
Do you sell domains?
No. Buy the domain from any registrar; Kambloo connects it. See Connect your domain.
Can I move a domain that already has a live website without downtime?
Yes. Tick "a website is already live on this domain" in the wizard. The SSL certificate is prepared through a DNS text record before you change the main records, and your current site stays up until you switch. See SSL certificates.
How long does DNS take?
Usually minutes; some providers take up to 24 to 48 hours. We keep checking for 48 hours and email you when the records are visible.
Do I get an SSL certificate?
Yes, automatically and free, for the root domain and www. Renewals are automatic too.
Should my address be with or without www?
Both work. By default the root domain is the canonical address and www redirects to it; you can switch this in the domain settings.
Can one store have several domains?
Yes, within the limit of the hosting plan. One domain is primary; the others redirect to it. See Several domains, changing or removing a domain.
What happens to my kambloo.com address after going live?
It keeps working as a permanent redirect to your domain, so links you shared before do not break.
Can I run more than one store?
Yes. One account can own several stores, each with its own address, database and settings.
