Cancelling and deleting a store

Go back to the test address, cancel a plan, suspend or delete a store, and what deletion means for your data.

Going back to the test address

Removing your custom domain returns the store to yourstore.kambloo.com. The store keeps all its data, but as a test store it takes sandbox payments only and is hidden from search engines.

Cancelling a plan

Cancel from the billing screen. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period. What follows depends on whether a domain is still connected: with a domain, the grace steps of The first free month apply; without one, the store simply continues as a free test store.

Suspended stores

A suspended store shows a maintenance page and its panel is read-only. No data is deleted. Choosing a plan, or paying an outstanding invoice, reactivates it.

Deleting a store

Deleting a store starts a 30-day window during which the store is suspended and can be restored with one click. After the window:

  • the store's database is dropped;
  • its files are removed from storage;
  • its domains are released and its certificates removed;
  • the platform record is anonymised; only a hashed trace is kept as proof of deletion.

Copies in backups fall out with the normal retention cycle: daily backups are kept for 14 days and weekly backups for three months.

Export before you delete

Owners can export the whole store (database and media list) as a ZIP from the settings; the download link is valid for 72 hours. Do this before starting the deletion window if you want to keep a copy.

Inactive test stores

A test store with no activity for 90 days is warned by email, then suspended; 30 days later it is archived. Signing in to the panel counts as activity.
